Jim trained and worked as a registered nurse in NZ, UK and Australia including charge nurse of ICU and lecturer in nursing undergraduate program, then went to medical school in Dunedin. Post grad work included initial training as a public health physician then transfer to RACGP training program in Tasmania. Interests include public health medicine and rural generalism. He is on the RACGP Tasmania faculty board and RACGP Rural board and is an ex member of the RACGP post fellowship expert committee and is a FRACGP examiner, medical educator and supervisor liaison officer with GPTT. He is a clinical senior lecturer with UTAS rural clinical school, Burnie. Jim has completed a Masters in Family Medicine by research at Monash University. His thesis examines the effect of health literacy on ambulance use in rural communities.

Chris grew up in Burnie and studied Medicine at the University of Tasmania’s Rural Clinical School. He was a junior doctor in Melbourne, Sydney, Darwin, and Hobart before returning to the coast to train in General Practice under Jim Berryman. He has an interest in health information technology, conducting research into secure messaging for which he won the Alan Chancellor award at the GP17 national conference. He was named the RACGP Registrar of the year in 2016 and is a clinical lecturer with the University of Tasmania. Chris is currently working on a Masters in Skin Cancer Medicine which he commenced in 2018.

Yas finished school in Sydney then moved to Tasmania to study Medicine which she completed in 2008 with first class honours. After doing her internship and residency at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney she moved to Darwin to start her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Yas completed this qualification at the Royal Hobart Hospital in 2012, soon after she moved to Wynyard to start her training in General Practice under the guidance of Jim Berryman. Yas qualified as a GP in 2016 and has been enjoying working at SSC ever since.

Sarvin was a pharmacist before completing her medical degree with Hons in Perth, WA. She worked in Perth and regional WA before moving to the North-West Coast of Tasmania in 2015. She commenced general practice training at Saunders Street Clinic in 2016. She enjoys teaching and is a lecturer at UTAS Rural Clinical School, Burnie. She completed the Diploma in Child Health and enjoys the variety of general practice.

Ali grew up in Wynyard and studied Medicine at the University of Tasmania.Initial postgraduate years were spent working at the Northwest Regional Hospital, Burnie. She spent several years living and working interstate before returning to the Northwest coast to raise her young family and commence general practice training. Interests include women's and children's health, chronic disease management and continuing medical education.Ali won the award for highest scoring exam candidate in 2017 FRACGP fellowship examinations for Tasmania.

Jess grew up in Kingston Beach and studied medicine at UTAS, choosing to spend the final 2 years at the Burnie Rural Clinical School. It was during these years that she developed a passion for rural general practice, being lucky enough to have 2 placements at Saunders Street Clinic. She returned to Hobart in 2014 to spend 3 years working as a junior doctor in the Royal Hobart Hospital before returning to the NW coast in 2017 to start GP training. She also enjoys working at the Rural Clinical School as a lecturer, and has completed a certificate in women's heath, and a diploma in child health. She enjoys the diversity and continuity of general practice and also enjoys spending time outdoors sailing in her spare time. (winner of an international sailing award) Maternity leave 2021

Tim grew up in Hobart, completing 4 years of medical studies at UTAS in Hobart before moving to the Rural Clinical School in Burnie for the final 2 years. He developed an interest in pursuing a career in rural general practice during these last 2 years of study in Burnie and also as a John Flynn Scholar in Mount Beauty/Falls Creek, Victoria. Tim worked for 3 years at the Royal Hobart Hospital before relocating back to the NW Coast for commencement of GP training at Saunders Street Clinic. He also worked at the Smithton Medical Centre and district hospital and completed a Diploma in Palliative Medicine during work for the NW specialist palliative care service. Tim is also a clinical lecturer in primary care for the year 4/5 medical students at the Rural Clinical School. Tim is midway (in 2021) through a MPH. He enjoys road and mountain biking and is a worship leader at Wynyard New Life Church.

Brad graduated from UTAS in 2015 after spending the final 2 years of his degree at the Rural Clinical School. He grew up in Queenstown Tasmania before moving to Burnie where he now calls home. He spent 2 years working in the North West Regional and Mersey Community hospitals before joining GP training, spending 12 months at Patrick Street Clinic before joining Saunders Street Clinic. He enjoys all aspects of medicine and will be involved with the Rural Clinical School as a lecture, teaching current 4/5 year students.

Completed undergraduate medical training in Germany. Worked in Germany, moved to Australia, passed AMC examinations and worked in various hospitals in Victoria, mainly as a psychiatric doctor. Married with 2 teenage children. Started working with the Saunders Street Clinic team in 2020. Started training as a GP trainee in 2019 with GPTT and plans to complete training 2021.

Born in South Korea, lived in multiple countries while growing up like a nomad (South Korea, Indonesia, UK) then defected to the "North" (Toronto/Canada) at the age of 16. Studied Computer Engineering (Co-op) in University of Waterloo (Canada) then moved all the way to Sydney to get an MBBS at USyd. Worked in Brisbane (QE2), Alice Springs Hospital, and Royal Darwin Hospital as a RMO. Moved to Tasmania in 2020 to start training with GPTT at Port Sorell then to Wynyard in 2021. Plans to complete training in 2021.

Noora grew up and studied medicine in Baghdad, Iraq. She graduated from the Baghdad college of medicine which is the most reputable and prestigious medical college in Iraq. She worked as a junior doctor in the teaching hospitals of Baghdad and then rural general practices and gained excellent experience in the main medical specialities including obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, medicine and surgery. She then moved in 2015 to Northwest Tasmania and worked as a resident doctor in the Northwest regional hospital and then as a GP in the Victoria Street Clinic. She has spent an extended time in the obstetrics and gynaecology department. Noora and her family (husband and 2 children) have decided to settle in the lovely community of Northwest Tassie. She enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and spending time with family.

Dr Renee Bilkey grew up on the central coast of NSW and graduated from the University of NSW with a medical degree at the end of 1999. Dr Bilkey has worked at the John Hunter, Mater, Maitland, and Belmont Hospitals and in GP clinics at Muswellbrook NSW and Biloela QLD. Dr Bilkey joined the team at Tenambit Medical Centre in 2009 and became practice principal in 2010. Dr Bilkey is focused on providing high quality care and promoting wellbeing for patients throughout all stages of life. Additionally, Dr Bilkey has completed a certificate in sexual and reproductive health and Diploma in child health. Dr Bilkey is also actively involved in training of future GP’s, supervising GP registrars on an annual basis at Tenambit Medical Centre for the past 5 years. Dr Bilkey moved to Northwest Tasmania in 2022 and joined Saunders Street Clinic in February. Areas of interest for Dr Bilkey include:

Fiona is a a local and trained as a registered nurse at the old North West Regional Hospital located at the Harvey Norman site in Burnie. She mainly worked in the surgical ward and paediatrics as a registered nurse after completing her training. Fiona also worked as an Industrial Nurse for several years then worked in Family, Child and Youth Heath Service where she worked as a School Nurse for 20 years. Started work in general practice in 2010.

Belinda completed Bachelor of Nursing at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1994. She has since worked in various areas within public and private hospitals and in primary health. She also spent 11 years in the Royal Australian Navy working within Australia and overseas, Belinda left the RAN as a Lieutenant Commander. Belinda has worked in general practice in Tasmania since 2009.

Ali has permanent weekly sessions on Tuesdays for general, sports, insurance and workers compensation physiotherapy.
