Jim trained and worked as a registered nurse in NZ, UK and Australia including charge nurse of ICU and lecturer in nursing undergraduate program, then went to medical school in Dunedin. Post grad work included initial training as a public health physician then transfer to RACGP training program in Tasmania. Interests include public health medicine and rural generalism. He has been on the RACGP Tasmania faculty board and RACGP Rural board and is an ex member of the RACGP post fellowship expert committee and has been a FRACGP examiner, medical educator and supervisor liaison officer with GPTT. He is a clinical senior lecturer with UTAS rural clinical school, Burnie. Jim has completed a Masters in Family Medicine by research at Monash University. His thesis examines the effect of health literacy on ambulance use in rural communities.

Alli grew up in Wynyard and studied Medicine at the University of Tasmania.Initial postgraduate years were spent working at the Northwest Regional Hospital, Burnie. She spent several years living and working interstate before returning to the Northwest coast to raise her young family and commence general practice training. Interests include women's and children's health, chronic disease management and continuing medical education.Alli won the award for highest scoring exam candidate in 2017 FRACGP fellowship examinations for Tasmania.

Tim grew up in Hobart, completing 4 years of medical studies at UTAS in Hobart before moving to the Rural Clinical School in Burnie for the final 2 years. He developed an interest in pursuing a career in rural general practice during these last 2 years of study in Burnie and also as a John Flynn Scholar in Mount Beauty/Falls Creek, Victoria. Tim worked for 3 years at the Royal Hobart Hospital before relocating back to the NW Coast for commencement of GP training at Saunders Street Clinic. He also worked at the Smithton Medical Centre and district hospital and completed a Diploma in Palliative Medicine during work for the NW specialist palliative care service. Tim is also a clinical lecturer in primary care for the year 4/5 medical students at the Rural Clinical School. He enjoys road and mountain biking and is a worship leader at Wynyard New Life Church. Tim completed FRACGP-RG in palliative care in 2022.

Brad graduated from UTAS in 2015 after spending the final 2 years of his degree at the Rural Clinical School. He grew up in Queenstown Tasmania before moving to Burnie where he now calls home. He spent 2 years working in the North West Regional and Mersey Community hospitals before joining GP training, spending 12 months at Patrick Street Clinic before joining Saunders Street Clinic. He enjoys all aspects of medicine and is involved with the Rural Clinical School as a GP academic and is involved in all aspects related to the MBBS taught at the Rural Clinical School, Burnie, UTAS.

James, a U.S. native, ventured to Singapore at 16 for college before settling in Tasmania in 2011 to pursue medicine at UTAS. Tasmania, where he now calls home, holds a special place in his heart. Fueled by gratitude, James aspires to reciprocate by becoming a GP, with a keen interest in both General Practice and Emergency Medicine.

Michaele has spent the last 15 years largely in emergency departments but also enjoyed time in paediatrics, intensive care and general medicine. Having spent most of her career in city emergency departments, Michaele has found her interests lie in rural medicine.

Noora grew up and studied medicine in Baghdad, Iraq. She graduated from the Baghdad college of medicine which is the most reputable and prestigious medical college in Iraq. She worked as a junior doctor in the teaching hospitals of Baghdad and then rural general practices and gained excellent experience in the main medical specialities including obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, medicine and surgery. She then moved in 2015 to Northwest Tasmania and worked as a resident doctor in the Northwest regional hospital and then as a GP in the Victoria Street Clinic. She has spent an extended time in the obstetrics and gynaecology department. Noora and her family (husband and 2 children) have decided to settle in the lovely community of Northwest Tassie. She enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and spending time with family.

Steph graduated from the University of Tasmania (with honours) in 2008 and gained her fellowship in 2014. She has previously worked at the Deloraine Medical Centre and Launceston Medical Centre for a few months before relocating to Wynyard in 2023 with her family. When not busy with her 2 young children, Dr Hey enjoys various sports including hockey, mountain biking and bushwalking. For the past 14 years she has been involved with the Soaring Club of Tasmania. In this time, she has learnt to fly gliders (motorless aircraft) and has gained several certificates. It is therefore not surprising to know she also has an interest in Aviation Medicine.

Soha joins us a RACGP registrar in mid 2024. Soha completed undergraduate medical degrees in Egypt and has worked in the Northwest Regional Hospital, Burnie, prior to joining our team.

Fiona is a a local and trained as a registered nurse at the old North West Regional Hospital located at the Harvey Norman site in Burnie. She mainly worked in the surgical ward and paediatrics as a registered nurse after completing her training. Fiona also worked as an Industrial Nurse for several years then worked in Family, Child and Youth Heath Service where she worked as a School Nurse for 20 years. Started work in general practice in 2010.

Belinda completed Bachelor of Nursing at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1994. She has since worked in various areas within public and private hospitals and in primary health. She also spent 11 years in the Royal Australian Navy working within Australia and overseas, Belinda left the RAN as a Lieutenant Commander. Belinda has worked in general practice in Tasmania since 2009.

Ali has permanent weekly sessions on Tuesdays for general, sports, insurance and workers compensation physiotherapy.
